Montana INBRE Student Programs
INBRE Research Internships
Undergraduate and graduate students have numerous opportunities for enhanced biomedical education and research experience. Undergraduates at MSU in the biomedical sciences can
apply for INBRE Research Internships, which may extend over several semesters or serve students just beginning their research experience. See Undergraduate Research for more information.
INBRE Public Health Internships for Undergraduates
The INBRE Public Health Internship Program provides undergraduate students from a wide range of academic disciplines exposure to real community health issues, and an understanding of the tools available to investigate and solve these issues. Working with a community health agency, interns spend 10 hours a week providing services to the agency and pursuing a focused research project associated with their work. Interns gain first-hand experience working to address the health needs of rural and underserved populations through the agencies’ collaborative, community-based approach to health care. The internship is a paid internship, for both Fall and Spring semesters, 10 weeks per semester, and is open to enrolled MSU undergraduates only. All public health internships are currently filled for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Travel Awards
Undergraduates and graduate students may also apply for travel funds if their research abstracts are accepted for poster or podium presentations at regional, national, or international research conferences. See Travel Grants for more information.
Graduate Student Fellowships
Graduate student fellowships are available in collaboration with the Molecular Bioscience Program. Visit the Molecular Bioscience Program for more information.
